FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How did you get started?
Very organically, actually. Over the years, countless friends, family members, acquaintances, colleagues, and friends of friends began to ask me for recommendations. As people were very happy with my help, my name got passed around to more and more people. And voila – Nomad.
  • Are you worth it?
Depends on how much you value your time. I can save you many hours of your life, including the frustration of trying to information gather via the internet, because I have years of on-the-ground experience. If you’ve just moved to NYC, it will take months to get up to speed on even the basics (transportation, neighborhoods, logistics, know-how, dining, delivery, etc.). If you need a restaurant for your rehearsal dinner that’ll accommodate your guests’ varying dietary restrictions and still wow them, scouring the internet for days may not even do the trick. If you need to take your partner to the perfect restaurant to show you appreciate them and make up for your long hours at work, researching yourself will only take more of your precious time. If hours of free time are hard to come by in your life, you probably need an expert to take this off your plate.
  • What are your fees?
My fees are all project-based and vary to reflect the unique nature of every project. After an initial, commitment-free intake, I will quote you an accurate fee and you can determine whether you’d like to proceed. Reaching out for an initial conversation is free, and I will not take you on as a client if I can't help you, so you have nothing to lose.
  • Ok, remind me again what you help with.
Common requests I receive include: I need a list of places I can take my clients to. My in-laws are visiting and I need to make sure this goes smoothly. How can I entertain them? I’m going on a date and need to impress. Where can we go? We are celebrating our friend’s milestone birthday and need a great spot for a group of 10 – please help! Our extended family is coming in for our wedding and they will be here for 3 days. They’ve never been to NYC before and I have zero time to help them plan. I’m moving to NYC, very overwhelmed, and don’t know where to even start! Please kindly note: I will provide all the advice you need, but then reservations and bookings are up to you.
  • I don’t need help with any of those things. Does that mean you can’t help me?
Not necessarily. Reach out. Again, reaching out is free and I will not take you on as a client if I can’t help you, so you have nothing to lose. And even if I can’t help you, perhaps I know someone else who can. I am happy to connect you.
  • I’m a restaurant/hotel/other venue and I’d love to be included in your list of client recommendations. What should I do?
Feel free to reach out to me and if I don’t already know your establishment, I’m happy to check it out. But please note that I will only recommend venues to my clients that will actually be a good fit for them. My clients are my number one priority.
  • How can I contact you?
Reach out here. You will receive a response within 1 business day.
